It's R-Murray Schaffer's Birthday -
So the Mid West Association for Acoustic Ecology decided to
Celebrate the act of listening to our soundscapes on this day
and invites anyone to join in by hosting a soundwalk, or doing something
that will promote listening awareness. Having dedicated 4 arduous years
of my life to researching writing about and creating a soundscape project
I figured new shit should get in on this World Listening Day

Hour One: Hosted by the Youth of CKUT's Youth Radio Camp

microphone and headphones out the window and go make
them host outside......

NEW SKIDS: June 28th 2011

CKUT runs a Kids Camps in the summer where every week

there is a group of young people that come to the station

and learn how to make, host and produce radio.

So for the next few weeks hour 1 of new shit will

be hosted by a different krew of younguns dustin'

their skills behind the board and playing jams from

bands that are passin' through town.

HOUR TWO this week was pretty much dedicated to some

new shit that was hand delivered by friends in the city

the most excellent 12 inch lathe cut split between

Dreamcatcher and Yomul Yuk on the Fluorescent Friends label:
